ANNOUNCEMENTS
Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters

February 01, 2026

Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:

CMS reminds HETS clearinghouse Submitters that an EDI enrollment must be completed by all providers/suppliers who are Fee-for-Service (FFS) EDI enrolled and process claims as well as their authorized HIPAA business associates.

All Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) have completed the Provider Attestation onboarding process. It is critical that all HETS Submitters communicate to provider/supplier customers that the attestation must be completed immediately.

HETS Submitters have been receiving updates from the MCARE Help Desk that include the listing of NPIs and provider/supplier names that have completed an attestation. HETS Submitters may access this listing and your organization’s Unique ID directly in the HETS Desktop (HDT) application.

In the event providers/suppliers do not complete the attestation process, they will lose access to HETS data.

This email will frequently be sent as a continued reminder.

Additional information for providers/suppliers can be found in the below link:

Thank you,
